Life story

In 1891 Edgar is living at home with his family at 15 Canning Road Croydon. Edgar's Father was a bank clerk, By 1901 Edgar's Father has died but he still living at 15 Canning Road with his Mother and Siblings. Edgar is working as a Surveyor and Valuer. In 1911 Edgar is staying at the home of Ellen Hepburn at Addiscombe Lodge Worthing. Also living there was Ellen Gertrude Hepburn (Step-Daughter) who Edgar married on 1st March 1913 at St. Paul's Church Worthing. Edgar died on 24th May 1918 at Groombridge nursing Home Chaucer Road Worthing of a Tubercular disease of the hip and an operation for an abscess and general Tuberculosis. His main home at the time of death was Heathside, Northdown Way, Margate. Probate of £505 2s 8d (£14678.01 in 2020) was granted on 5 September 1918 to Henry Woodman Turner, Captain RFA.
