She was their only child. Alexander was a commercial traveller dealing in soft goods (drapery). By 1911 Dorothy was living in Worthing with her mother. They shared one room and a kitchen in a house in Sugden Road. Although Annie stated that she was married on the census form, she and her husband were no longer together. In 1924 Annie and Dorothy were living at "French Court" 65 Boundary Road. Dorothy suffered from a heart condition. She died of myocardial degeneration and bronchitis on 21 Nov 1928. No probate. In 1911, Alexander was living in Muswell Hill.
