Life story

Dorothy Maud Lisher was born in the summer of 1895 in Worthing, West Sussex. Her father, David Lisher, 32yrs. was a Jobbing Gardener, born in Sompting and her mother, Sarah, nee Woodards, 32yrs., was born in Hammersmith, London. In 1901 the family lived at 1, Cranmer Rd., West Tarring, Worthing. Dorothy Maud Lister died, aged 6yrs, on 6th June 1902 at 13, Salisbury Terrace, Elm Grove, Heene. Her death certificate gave the cause of death as "Laryngitis, Diphtheria 2 days, Tracheotomy performed, Exhaustion."
