Anne was one of the 13 children of William, a barrister, and Margaret Matilda ( née Ormsby) Wiley. Born in 1841, she never married. In 1881 she was part of the household of her brother, Arthur Ormsby Wiley, a general practitioner, and his wife, in Knaresborough, Yorkshire, which included their widowed sister, Frances Favell and her children. By 1891 Anne was still living with Frances and two of her children and another sister, Sarah, but now at 3, Heene Villas, Heene Road, Worthing. By 1901, Anne had moved to ‘Ferndale’, Western Place, Worthing, and was boarding with Samuel Perkins, a cabinet maker, and his wife, Harriett. Ten years later, Anne was described as a visitor at ‘Kai Terri’, Rowlands Road, Worthing. She died at Tunbridge Wells on 15 April 1915 but was buried at Heene.
