Life story

Annie was born in 1863 in Worthing Sussex to Joseph Ambrose and Esther Moore. Annie's Father worked as a Gardener in 1871 and by 1881 he had become a Lamplighter in Worthing. The family were living in Anchor Lane (which is now Lyndhurst Road).

Annie had 6 siblings

Eliza born 1861 Worthing, Ellen born 1867 Worthing, Frederick born 1870 Worthing, Esther born 1872 Worthing, John born 1876, Florence Kate born 1885 Worthing.

In 1881 Annie was living at 22 St. George's Road Brighton, where she was a servant to Henry Golding a Butcher

By 1885 Annie is in the East Preston workhouse where she died on the 25th February 1885 of a disease of the Larynx and lungs
