Life story

Life story

Anne was the sister of Reverend John Raven and spent most of her life until his second marriage, living with his family. She was born in Woodford, Essex, the daughter of Henry Richard and his wife Anne. She was baptised at Christ Church, Southwark on 14th October 1810. Anne sailed to New Zealand with her brother and his family in 1852. She returned with them in 1864. When her brother moved to Sussex with his second wife and family, Anne went to live in Brighton. At her death on 15th April 1884, Anne was living in Eriswell Road, Worthing. Probate was granted on 26th June 1884 to Rev. John Raven her brother. Effects £1622 7s 6d (approx £107417 in 2020).
