Also Ann Howard who died December 19th 1938 in her 98th year Life storyLife storyAnn was born in Marylebone, the daughter of Thomas and Harriet. She was baptised at St Mary's church, Marylebone on 21st May 1841. Her father was a wealthy builder who ran the family firm which later included his sons Thomas and Edward. Thomas Snr died on 1st March 1862 and was buried at Kensal Green. His widow moved the family to Croydon where she died on 9th March 1885. Three of her daughters, Elizabeth, Ann and Alice lived together and by 1901 were living in Worthing at 40 Grafton Road. Elizabeth was about ten years older than the other sisters. All three sisters were never in an occupation. In 1914, they were living at "Jesmondene" 22 Christchurch Road. Elizabeth died on 27th April 1923. She was not buried at Heene. Alice died on 20th January 1928 after slipping outside her home and breaking her thigh. Ann continued to live on her own until her death on 19th December 1938. Probate was granted on 17th January 1939 to Thomas Stirling retired company director.
