Life story

Life story

Amy was born in London to John Treadwell, a wholesale shoe manufacturer, and Eliza Catherine, nee Best. Amy lived in London either in St Marylebone or Lambeth until sometime before 1901 when she and her mother moved to Manor Road, Worthing, perhaps due to ill health, and lived with Amy's brother and his wife and small daughter. Amy died on 5 April 1901 leaving her effects of almost £2,800 to her brother, Henry John Treadwell.
