Life story

Life story

Alice was born in Southwark, the daughter of William George and Ellen. William was a warehouse porter for a perfumery. Alice grew up in the Southwark area. By 1924 the family were living at 4 Stamford Street, Southwark. In 1925, the family were living at 373 Stanstead Road, Catford. William was working as a wholesale druggist. By 1931, Alice was suffering from tuberculosis. She died on 15th January 1931 at the home of her brother William George Diaper, 10 Milton Street, Worthing. No probate.

Alice's brother died in 1937, her father in 1946 and mother in 1971. All are buried at Heene.
