Agnes Mary Hadwen was born on 31st July 1858 in Liverpool, Lancashire; she was the daughter of George Tayler Hadwen, 38yrs, Clerk to a General Merchant, and Elizabeth Sarah, 22yrs, nee Ewens. Agnes had a younger sister, Caroline Bertha, born in 1863, but who sadly died aged 1 year.

Agnes lived with her parents throughout her life, she did not appear to have any occupation. The family lived in Liverpool for her early life, then after her father's retirement they settled in Worthing, Sussex, at 84, Rowlands Road.

After her father's death in 1917, Agnes and her mother continued to live in Worthing, her mother died in 1930, aged 93yrs, and 7 years later, Agnes died, aged 78yrs, on 2nd January 1937.

Probate was granted to the Westminster Bank Ltd. and Bertram Robert Chisholm, (no occupation), effects £14918 19s 6d. Value 2023 - £1.3million.
