In loving memory of Ada Mary Lankester died 9th June 1916 aged 58 years. Also of Addison her son died 22nd June 1963 aged 78. And of Violetta his wife died 16th June 1958 aged 74.

Ada Mary Thompson was born in Wandsworth, London, December q., she was baptised on 20th May 1857, at All Saints, Wandsworth. She was the only child of John William West Thompson, 37yrs, Printer and Bookseller, and Mary, 43yrs, nee Morris, she was educated at a girls' boarding school, in Walthamstow.

In January 1881, Ada, 24yrs, married Percy Lankester, 25yrs, a farm machinery manufacturer, in Lewisham; they had 2 sons, Kenneth b.1882, and Addison b.1885. Ada and Percy lived at various places in Surrey over the next 30yrs, Percy was a wealthy businessman and had retired before he was 45yrs old. By 1911 they were living in Kingston Hill, Surrey, and when Ada died, aged 59yrs, on 9th June 1916, at The Seabrook Nursing Home, Queen's Road, Worthing, her address was Coomebury Cottage, Kingston Hill, Surrey.

Probate was granted to Addison Lankester, Dentist, and his wife, Violetta Rand Lankester, effects, £7924 9s 1d. Value 2021 - £707K.
